Tuesday 19 August 2008

Katie went into the operating theatre at 13.52. I know she is in good hands now.

It was a long morning with too much time to worry about the unknown. But at least right now Katie isn't worrying about anything.

I will add another update this evening when I come back from the hospital.

Giles my heart goes out to you reading your last posting- you sound as if you need a large hug.You may not get many mentions but we are all rooting for you as much as Katie. Hopefully by now the waiting is almost over and Katie is out of theatre. With all our love Clare Ian and Co xxx

Dearest Giles
Words fail me but I so desperately wanted you to know we are all thinking of you and Katie and the wee ones. Make sure you take time to look after yourself. Children are hugely resilient and adaptable and so I am sure they will cope with all the disruption with ease. Its the adults that often need looking after but won't ask for help. There are obviously so many people willing and wanting to help you in any way they can - I hope you let them. Geography prevents us from being any practical help, I know, but positive thoughts and our love are flooding to you all from Fair Isle.

Giles
You and Katie have been in my mind all day. I kept looking at the clock wondering if K had gone into theatre. Wanted just to give you a big hug.
Love to all

Thinking of you both. Give me a call if you need anything, I'm just up the road. :)

Dear Katie and Giles
Have been thinking of you and praying for you all day. I hope that you have a comfortable night, Katie, and from tomorrow on you can begin to live again knowing that your "glands" have gone. Hope Granny and Grandad don't spoil the kids too much or you'll have a hard time sorting them out again!
