This Sunday there will be a Walk for Katie starting at Hanbury Manor. Meet at the Health Club reception. The local paper should be there at 11.45 to take a group photo of all the walkers before we set off at 12.00. Its 5 miles (although children can do the 1 mile walk around the grounds with the creche team), across the country side and a route that Katie ran with the Hanbury running club. It is open to any friends, family and Hanbury members, £5 per adult, £2.50 per child all going to Katies Charities. The forcast for Sunday is reasonably good so I hope to see you there. Or have a good excuse!!!
Today I had to postpone an interview for Take a Break magazine because Marie Claire contacted me saying they want to do an exclusive feature. After some consideration I decided that Katie would have preferred to feature in a glossy monthly magazine that would at least stay on peoples coffee table for more than a week and may even end up in doctors waiting rooms etc. I will be speaking to them tomorrow and will then hopefully know in which month it will feature.

so happy to hear that katie is still making a difference. i feel honoured to have known her. good luck with the walk, i would have loved to come, but am working! poo. take care of yourself and thank you for keeping us updated with things.
I Think You've made the right decision. Katie would be chuffed. Who wouldn't want to be in Marie Claire! This way she will be reaching out to millions for some time to come. Keep up the good work.
we will be there on sunday.

Am sorry I won't be able to join you all on Sunday. However, some of the Wheatcroft mums intend to take part in the Race For Life in July so I'll make it up to Katie then.
Thanks for the update and once again well done for all the effort you put in.

Hi Giles

Sorry I won't be able to make the walk tomorrow. I've already got a 14 mile powerwalk session planned for my London Marathon training, so hope that is a good enough excuse! I will be thinking of you all though, and hope it goes well.
It's great that Marie Claire want to cover Katie's story and that she can still continue to inspire and raise awareness.
Beautiful poem by the way. I hadn't heard it before, but very wise words.
Sorry I can't make sunday but my daughter has organised race for life in June so I am running for Katie then. Marie Claire is perfect for Katies story. Hope all goes well tomorrow and the weather is good for you all. Thanks for the updates.
Love to you and the children.
